We’re always seeking new volunteers to help support our activites! Our volunteers generally take on 2-hours shifts during the event; welcoming punters at the gates, helping with ticket sales, ushering at talk and event, supporting our bands and authors, and much more!
If you’ve a particular skill set to share, or you think you’ve no experience at all – we have something for everyone, and your assistance is valued regardless.
Want a book stall?
Whether you’re a second-hand book trader, promoting your own published works, or selling book-related products – with 15,000 book-lovers and 135 bookstalls in 2025, you’re sure to find a keen audience.
Want to be involved in a panel or workshop?
We love to help share new stories and experiences. If you’re interested in hosting a panel, being on a panel or running a workshop, this is the form for you.
Want to perform?
Emerging band or seasoned performer – we’d love to hear from you and what you can bring to create an awesome festival atmosphere!
Want to bring your food truck?
A diverse range of foods and drinks to compliment local shops make for a great festival.
